Kalum Horne and Diego Diaz Duenas tallied first-half goals on Friday night and SBCC went on to blank Glendale 4-0 for its third straight shutout victory. The defending WSC champion Vaqueros (3-5-2), who’ve outscored their last three opponents 8-0, took over sole possession of first place in the conference at 3-0-1.
Horne scored in the 34th minute on an assist from Danny Molineaux and Duenas made it 2-0 in the 39th with Stuart Kirk providing the helper. Lee Jackson scored in the 56th on a Ryan McGavigan assist and Molineaux completed the scoring two minutes later on an assist from Memo Gonzalez.
SBCC will be at home next week to face Moorpark (Tuesday) and Canyons (Thursday).
