Rolling Hills Academy didn’t cut Laguna Blanca any slack in its home opener on Saturday, pummelling the Owls 38-7 in Hope Ranch.
Sophomore quarterback Troy Ritter scored the Owls’ lone touchdown in the third quarter on a six-yard run off a bootleg. Laguna head coach Ray Robitaille said the Owls got close to scoring a couple of more times in the second half but turned the ball over.
Running back Austin Rusack and lineman Chase McAdams had their moments on Saturday, but not enough to keep Rolling Hills from building a 25-0 halftime lead.
Laguna Blanca, which falls to 0-4, begins Condor League play next Saturday with a Homecoming game against Ojai Valley School.
