Heidi van den Oever put away seven kills with four blocks as the Laguna Blanca girls volleyball team went to Ojai and swept Thacher 25-22, 25-8, 25-15 on Saturday.
Mackenzie “Neal” Scarborough added seven kills of her own and setter Amanda Harvey had 10 digs and an 11-point service run. Coach Jim Alzina said that the Owls came out a little slow after finding out that senior Jackie Harvey was unable to play because of “a wardrobe malfunction.”
The Owls (14-1, 4-0 Condor league) host Mission Prep on Monday.
