The Carpinteria girls volleyball team took its lumps against Oak Park on Tuesday, suffering a 25-16, 25-8, 25-12 Tri-Valley League loss to the No. 7 team in Div. II-A.
The Warriors started out alright, but a late run in the first game handed Oak Park momentum for the rest of the match.
Warriors head coach Katie Dolge said any time Carpinteria would feel any momentum building, missed serves and passing errors would take it away.
Kelci Jones had a team-high six kills and was matched by Yadira Saldana with a team-high five digs.
The schedule doesn’t get any easier with a league having four teams in the D-II-A top-10, as No. 6 Oaks Christian is on Thursday for Carpinteria.
