Kiki Katsev picked up a big win for the San Marcos girls tennis team on Friday, beating San Luis Obispo’s top singles player in a 11-7 non-league win for the Royals.
Katsev won two sets on the day, including the 6-2 set over Tori Troesch and the clincher in third round. Caitlin Mannix added two more wins in singles.
Amy Kinsella/Shelby Zylstra and Amy Ransohoff/Christine Pearson went about their business, sweeping six sets.
San Marcos has a Channel League match on Tuesday at Buena.
