Elicity Fabing scored two first-half goals Friday afternoon and SBCC went on to blank Hancock 4-0 in a WSC women’s soccer match at Santa Maria. The freshman from Lompoc High found the net in the 35th and 40th minutes.
Dani Jones made it 3-0 in the 70th minute and Alyson Johnson added the final goal by heading in a corner kick in the 80th minute.
SBCC improved to 8-2-5 overall and 3-1-2 in the WSC North. Hancock didn’t have a shot on goal against Meghan Maiwald, who recorded her ninth shutout and extended her school career record to 22 clean sheets.
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 14 in Southern Cal, have outscored their opponents 37-8 this season.
The Vaqueros will be at home Tuesday to take on Moorpark at 7 p.m.
