The Dos Pueblos girls volleyball team celebrated the Wopat twins’ birthday in style, gift-wrapping a 25-14, 25-10, 25-15 rout of Ventura for a Channel League victory on Tuesday.
Sally Yingst gave 17 kills and Sammie Brown contributed 15 more. DP assistant coach Greg Novak loved the defensive effort, with Jordan Roberts and Katie Speiler leading the charge.
DP improves to 13-1 overall, 5-0 in league. The Chargers play next at the Torrey Pines Tournament this weekend, where they will be the No. 1 seed.
