The Dos Pueblos girls tennis team shut out visiting Buena on Thursday, as all 14 players involved posted wins in an 18-0 Channel League victory.
Oriane Matthys and Hanna Schmitz got in a full day’s work, sweeping their three sets together. Kim Preston and Katie O’Brien each won three sets but with different partners. Preston and Nicole Eskenazi took their first two before Preston paired with Sophia Rasmussen. O’Brien and Rachel Amspoker won two before Amspoker gave way to Gaby McDaniel.
The Chargers improve to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in league play. Tuesday’s rained out match with Santa Barbara has been rescheduled for Oct. 27 but the Chargers have San Marcos first on Tuesday on the Royals’ courts.
