It was a tough day for the Dos Pueblos girls tennis team on Friday, as the Chargers fell to visiting Santa Margarita 12-6.
Many of DP’s players were playing through or just returning from illness, and the Chargers were missing some other players due to prior committments, according to coach Suzy Dahl.
Nicole Eskenazi and Kim Preston went 2-1 in doubles play while Nicoletta Bradley picked up a nice comeback win at the No. 2 singles spot.
The Chargers are also without one of their six courts, as a large crack has rendered one of them unsafe. The school is hoping to raise funds for the repair. Anyone interested in helping may contact Dahl at [email protected].
Dos Pueblos’ Thursday match against San Marcos will be played on Monday.
