Cate’s doubles came on strong on Wednesday, helping the Rams stamp out the visiting Thacher Toads 14-4 for a Condor League win.
Cate, now 4-3 overall, is unbeaten in league at 3-0.
Belle Kammer and Annelies Northup lost only two games in three sets and singles players Maddison Snider and Marguerite Mannix swept six key sets.
“I’m really pleased with how the team’s progressing at this point in the season,” said Cate head coach Barbara DeGroot. “Our singles play has been pretty solid from the start but it’s really fun to see the improvement taking place on the doubles court.”
Laguna Blanca will have the next chance to hand the Rams their first league loss with a match on Saturday.
