Carpinteria’s girls volleyball team took on La Reina on Tuesday, taking home a 25-12, 25-13, 25-9 Tri-Valley League loss.
“We had our moments, actually had some pretty good rallies,” said Warriors head coach Katie Dolge, whose team had a hard time sustaining any energy in a cold La Reina gym.
Yadira Saldana picked up 12 digs as libero and Caitlin Wallace added four kills, nine digs and an ace. Erin Harris was a presence at the net with five blocks.
The Warriors (2-9, 1-7 TVL) have four matches left in their season, starting with St. Bonaventure next Tuesday. A rematch with Bishop Diego, which beat Carpinteria in five games in their first meeting, is Thursday.
