A slow start doomed the Carpinteria girls volleyball team on Thursday, as the Warriors were swept at St. Bonaventure 25-12, 25-16, 25-16.
Kelci Jones had eight kills with three blocks and 10 digs, while Caitlin Wallace made a smooth transition from the left side to the middle, tallying four blocks and four kills.
“We started off slow and got better towards the end,” said Dolge. “We’re still not very strong with our serve-receive passing, which makes it tough.”
Next up for the Warriors is Tuesday’s rivalry game at Bishop Diego, which is expected to be a good contest.
“Whenever I give the girls the calendar the first thing they ask is when we play Bishop… If we bring our A-game it should be a great match. I just hope we keep control of our emotions,” said Dolge.
