Oak Park caught the Bishop Diego girls volleyball team on an off night and didn’t waste any time in taking it to the Cardinals 25-10, 25-21, 25-16 in a Tri-Valley League match on Monday.
“We just did not show up to play today,” said Bishop head coach Joe Reiken, hopeful his team can pick it up for two more league matches this week. “We were not there mentally from the start.”
The Cardinals play another ranked opponent on Tuesday at St. Bonaventure followed by the second league match with Carpinteria on Thursday.
