The Bishop Diego girls volleyball team took a bite out of Malibu on Tuesday, coming away with a tasty 25-16, 25-23, 25-23 Tri-Valley League victory.
Sophomore Nicole Tetherow collected 25 digs and senior Melissa Georgi tallied 15 assists and 10 digs.
“It’s a good win for us,” said Cardinals head coach Joe Reiken, knowing league victories are hard to come by in the stacked Tri-Valley League.
Bishop Diego is now 2-4 in league and 3-5 overall. On Thursday, the Cardinals face Oaks Christian, one of three TVL teams in the top-10 of CIF Div. II-A.
