Travis Frolich tallied three of his five goals in the final period to make Oxnard nervous, but the Yellowjackets managed to hold off the San Marcos boys water polo team 10-8 on Tuesday in a non-league match.
San Marcos entered the final period facing a three-goal deficit but rode Frolich’s surge to get within one at 9-8. That was as close as the Royals would get as they fell to 2-4 on the season.
San Marcos returns home to host Carpinteria on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.
