SBCC played to a scoreless women’s soccer tie for the second time in four days on Friday afternoon after a five-hour drive to Foothill in Los Altos. It was the fifth shutout in six games for goalie Meghan Maiwald.

Meghan and the defense were great again but she didn’t really get tested,” said coach John Sisterson. “We had the majority of the possessions in the game but we couldn’t finish.
“Kelly Deckers had a good through ball on the last kick of the game and we thought we should have gotten a PK because of a hand-ball but the ref didn’t see it that way.”
The Vaqueros continue their “three games in three days” trip in Northern California with 4 p.m. starts on Saturday at West Hills and Sunday at Cabrillo.
