Dos Pueblos opened the Channel League girls golf season with a 203-292 victory over Ventura at par-35 Buenaventura Golf Course on Tuesday. Emily Fox earned medalist honors with a 37.
“It’s always nice to get your first league win,” said coach Rob Schiff. “We bunched our scores together pretty well, too. Our top five players were all within six strokes of each other.”
Freshman Bekah Beveridge made the top-5 for the first time by firing a 43. Amanda Marshall’s 48 led the Cougars.
Dos Pueblos remains undefeated at 5-0.
