We made it!

It’s been a whole year since PresidioSports.com made its debut in cyberspace, and at this gratifying juncture in the site’s development we are proud to say that the community response has been great and that we’re here to stay, committed to improving the quality of Santa Barbara’s sports coverage online.

The site currently attracts thousands of visitors each week and continues to grow as we continually add new features and find new ways to provide Santa Barbara with the local sports coverage it deserves. We are without question your most reliable source for news on athletics in the area.

Of course, there is always room for improvement, and we appreciate any and all feedback you send our way. Some new features on tap for this upcoming school year are our team pages, which serve as a “home base” for following your favorite local teams. We also continue to embrace the new technologies that help you stay informed, such as Twitter and Facebook, and our extensive photo galleries have been wildly popular. Our show titled “The Couch” has hit the ground running and has been incredibly fun to work on.

We’ve managed to generate a profit in even the toughest of economic times, because businesses have come to realize that our site is a cost-effective way to reach out to the community effectively. Pacific Coast Business Times recently featured us in a local business profile.

This year we will once again be an active media partner of the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table, covering all of the organization’s events and naming the Athletes of the Week honored at each week’s press luncheon. We have also teamed up with Noozhawk and The Daily Sound in an effort to provide our exclusive content on an even larger scale.

We have reporters and photographers at more sporting events than any other media outlet in the area and are excited to expand on that even more as the action continues to unfold in the 2009-10 school year.
