Nicole Bullemer tallied a double-bogey on the first hole Wednesday but bounced back to shoot an even-par 35 at Glen Annie Golf Course to lift the Dos Pueblos girls golf team to an easy 198-256 win over visiting Valencia. Bullemer finished with three birdies on the round, the first coming on the second hole to help shake the opening slip-up.
“It was a pretty good comeback by her and a solid effort from our team,” said coach Rob Schiff.
Vanesa Villa fired a 37 and Emily Fox recorded a 40 for the Chargers, who have a mixed-bag on this year’s squad when it comes to experience.
“We have a really proud tradition with DP girls golf and we want to live up to that,” said Schiff. “We have three kids that are really experienced and we have other players who are all at about the same level vying for the other spots. It’s a matter of how good our depth can be.”
Allie Jin’s 43 led the Vikings.
