Bishop Diego announced Wednesday that Casey Cloud will be taking over the school’s baseball program next year to fill the void left by departing head coach Brian Moulton.
Cloud, a graduate of Santa Barbara High, played in the College World Series as a catcher at UCLA and played professionally in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization for three years. Cloud also played and is currently a coach for the Santa Barbara Foresters.
Moulton guided the Cardinals to postseason births in two of his three seasons and added a Frontier League title in 2008.
