Team Paragon came through with some head-turning fights at the UFC Expo/Grapplers Quest in Las Vegas that was part of the celebration leading up to UFC 100 two weeks ago.
It has been said that this year’s Grapplers Quest at the UFC Fan Expo was the largest Submission Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament in the history of the sport.
Jeff Glover won the men’s advanced division in absolute Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by defeating Wilson Reis via points by locking in a toe hold with ten seconds remaining.
After the match Jeff Glover said, “I’m an artist who uses the human body as my canvas to paint a picture of combat.”
Another impressive Paragon victory came from Bill Cooper, who stopped UFC fighter and TUF 2 champion Joe Stevenson.
Dos Pueblos High wrestling coach Anthony Califano brought home two titles, one in the Masters advanced heavyweight division and one in the Masters advanced absolute.
