Santa Barbara High middle blocker Chris Pratt was named to the All-CIF Division I First Team after finishing a stellar senior season with the Dons, who played in the top division for the first time and made it to the third round of the playoffs.
Pratt’s season highlights included pounding 19 kills with seven blocks in a win over Dos Pueblos and making all-tournament teams at the Santa Barbara/Karch Kiraly Tournament of Champions and the Best of the West Tournament. He was also named Channel League MVP.
Pratt’s teammate, University of Hawaii-bound setter Sam Biscaro, was a second-team selection after running the Don’s offense efficiently while also providing a strong blocking presence and even playing through pain with a bad ankle in the playoffs.
Bishop Diego star Garrick Vanderfin made the Division III Third Team, while Laguna Blanca senior Julian Harake made the Division V Second Team and Cate’s Joe Gottwald was selected to the Third Team.
