Freddy Williamson shook off a rough start and caught fire for the Laguna Blanca boys volleyball team in Friday’s 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-13 win in front of a noisy crowd at Dunn.
“All of a sudden he was on fire and it sparked his peers. It was fun to watch,” said coach Bobby Sanchez of Williamson, who finished with eight kills in the final two sets alone.
Julian Harake added eight kills with five blocks and a pair of digs for the Owls (8-6, 7-3 Condor League), who likely will need to win their final two games against OVS and Cate to make the postseason.
“Tickets are still available,” joked Sanchez of Wednesday’s home match against the rival Rams.
