The Carpinteria softball team outhit Grace Brethren on Tuesday but it didn’t translate into more runs for the Warriors who lost the Frontier League match 5-4.
Dani Mendoza recorded three hits and an RBI and Nicole Pearce added two hits and an RBI. Pearce also pitched a complete game from the pitcher’s circle and scored two of Carpinteria’s four runs.
The Warriors fall to 9-10 and 3-4 in league before a Thursday crosstown clash with Bishop Diego.
