Senior Michael McMahon tossed a one-hitter for the Cate baseball team in Saturday’s 4-0 win over New Community Jewish School, improving the Rams’ record to 12-1 overall and improving McMahon’s to 6-0. He walked none and struck out eight.
The Cate offense did all of its damage in a four-run second inning. Vladimir Vilsaint and Michael Moya led off with singles, and Vilsaint scored on an error on a ball hit by Nathan Vice. John Warren and Jackson Mauze followed with singles to drive in the rest.
