The Jesusita Fire has caused the following changes to Friday’s local athletics schedule:
– The Channel League boys tennis final has been postponed to Tuesday at 3 p.m., and will be played either at Cathedral Oaks Tennis Club or the Stadium Court and Muni.
– The boys volleyball match between Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High, slated to be played at the Thunderhut, has been permanently cancelled. San Marcos is still scheduled to play at Buena on Friday night. Due to CIF seeding deadlines, no volleyball matches will be re-scheduled.
– All local high school baseball and softball games are postponed until a later date.
– The Channel League swimming finals have been moved to Ventura College.
– UCSB’s baseball series against Long Beach State has been moved to Cal State Fullerton, and the Gauchos’ softball series against Fullerton has been moved up to Cal Poly.
