Carp plays better in loss to unbeaten Seraphs

Carpinteria dropped a 6-0 decision to St. Bonaventure Friday, but Warriors coach Pat Cooney said the Warriors played a solid game against the Seraphs, who remain unbeaten in the powerhouse Tri-Valley League.

Robert Thornton had a pair of hits for Carp, while SBART Prep Baseball Player of the Year Nathan Saito had his 19-game hit streak snapped. Carpinteria has two games remaining, both of which are crucial with regards to a postseason berth.
