Laguna Blanca’s baseball team saved its best game of the season for last, but a 4-run fourth by visiting Besant Hill ended the Owls’ campaign in a 9-8 heartbreaker in Hope Ranch Friday.
Mike Bremner pitched a complete game and also went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored on the day. His brother, Chris, was his catcher and went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
“It was a great day for Mike, and it was his last game as a senior so it was a great way for him to go out,” said coach Daniel Boswell. “The kids really exuded the style of play we want in our program, and we got some solid play from a couple of our younger guys.”
