Bishop golfers take fourth at league’s fifth tourney

The Bishop Diego boys golf team continued its steady progress on Tuesday, shooting a 471 at River Ridge Golf Course to finish fourth out of six teams in the fifth Frontier League Tournament of the year.

Garrett Garcia led the Cardinals with a round of 88, while Jun Huh fired a 91 and Anthony Pell a 94.

Coach Marty Herrera said that the fourth, fifth and sixth slots on the team that have been developing with the most consistency. Tyler Rodgers had a 97, Bryan Herrera shot 101 and Tim Swan finished with a 105 to round out those spots.

“The course was playing very difficult with windy conditions and some recently punched greens… We are very pleased with the progress of our team,” said coach Herrera.
