The Santa Barbara Soccer Club Girls U13 White team won the George Mitton Memorial Tournament in Huntington Beach over the weekend.
The team was undefeated in pool play, shutting out the opponents in each of their three games by scores of 3-0, 3-0, and 1-0. The championship game was a hard fought battle where, after regulation and overtime, the teams were tied 1-1 and proceeded to penalty kicks. The Santa Barbara girls earned the title by defeating the Santa Clarita Valley Magic in pk’s 2-1.
The SBSC team members include: Kylie Augerot, Jamie Benedetto, Avery Blackman, Hannah Brisby, Libby Brymer, Teah Burdick, Ashley Carney, Annie deBruynkops, Hannah Harrah, Shelby Hoffman, Emma Jones, Kayla Klopstein, Annelise Morando, Leah Parlato, Pauline Simes, Mari Solis, Emma Trumbull, and Ashlen Weddington. The team is coached by Marco Medina.
