The San Marcos girls softball team had a day to forget on the road at Buena on Friday, taking a 10-0 drubbing from the Bulldogs.
The game remained close after three innings with the Royals only down by a single run but Buena scored four in the fourth and five in the sixth to trigger the 10-run rule.
San Marcos managed only one hit, a single from Kelly Martyniuk in the fourth inning.
Freshman Hannah Roberg recorded the win for the Bulldogs, now 4-1 in league. The Royals are 2-3 in the Channel League and drop to 5-7 overall.
San Marcos begins a four-game homestand on Wednesday with another matchup against the Bulldogs.
