With two of the team’s three seniors out, Julian Harake remained “The Rock of Gibraltar” for coach Bobby Sanchez and the Laguna Blanca boys volleyball team in Tuesday’s 25-10, 25-17, 18-25, 25-18 win over visiting Santa Maria.
“He wants to touch every ball in the middle, and he’s just been really consistent for us,” said Sanchez, whose team is now 5-3 overall and 4-0 in the Condor League.
Spencer Dousabout did a great job running the offense with 26 assists, and Parker Lilly put down seven kills after transitioning to the middle. Sanchez said the Owls are primed to go unbeaten in the conference, but need to improve before heading into the playoffs.
