Despite patience, good communication and hustle, the Cate boys lacrosse team fell 8-3 to Robert Louis Stevenson on Saturday.
Even though Stevenson maintained control over the ball for most of the first half, Cate’s defense was up to the challenge, holding Stevenson to just one goal at the end of the first quarter.
The Rams were able to bring the score within 3 goals by the fourth quarter, but were incapable of keeping Stevenson from scoring two more goals in the final minutes of the game.
Mackie Greason was the star offensive player, scoring one goal and assisting on another.
Coach Steve O’Neill said this game was the best the Rams had played all season and he hopes they will continue to improve.
