The Cate boys tennis team ran its record to a perfect 3-0 in the Condor League after a 13-5 victory over the visiting Laguna Blanca Owls on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rams were carried by three-set sweeps in singles by Gregory Mak and in doubles by Jason Park and Cam Seo. Cate’s doubles team of Grant Redman and Bill Pomerans won its two sets without a loss as subs.
Cate’s overall record improves to 4-2 heading into a week in which the Rams will play three non-league matches. The challenging stretch includes matches against San Marcos and top-10 Division IV schools Santa Ynez and Viewpoint.
