Neilsen-Robbins leads the way as Dons fold Cards

Rebecca Neilsen-Robbins struck out eight batters in four innings and also went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI as Santa Barbara High’s softball team defeated host Bishop Diego 15-0 in five innings Saturday.

Katie Rodman was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Monique Medina had a pair of hits with four RBIs. Annette Gonzales had a triple for the Cardinals.

Bishop (3-8) pitcher Jennifer Jimenez left the game with an injury after the second inning, and Allison Carr came on in relief. The Cardinals forfeited the second game of the doubleheader due to Jimenez’s injury.

Santa Barbara is now 7-9 on the year.
