Nobody could touch Travis Enholm on Wednesday as the Royals’ No. 1 singles player easily swept his three sets in the San Marcos boys tennis team’s 12-6 non-league win at Lompoc.
Enholm won his sets 6-2, 6-2, 6-0, only a little quicker than Sean-Michael Gaudefroy’s 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 day.
The Royals’ doubles teams had to deal with Lompoc’s No. 1 singles player Alex Jensen, who was playing doubles this day while he recovers from back surgery. The defending Los Padres League singles champion paired with Joel Martin to win all three of his sets.
Jackson Mann-Scott Messier and Jackson Foster-Parker Funk captured their other two sets.
The Royals now stand at 7-7 and host No. 3 Santa Barbara on Tuesday.
