DP’s Ventura drives in four, Chargers down Buena

Ryan Ventura went 2-for-3 with four RBIs Friday as Dos Pueblos picked up a crucial Channel League win over visiting Buena, 6-4.

The win came on the heels of a 12-3 drubbing by the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

“It was a high-intensity game,” said DP coach Nate Mendoza. “It had a playoff-type feeling to it, which is how every Channel League game is starting to feel.”

Dos Pueblos is now tied for the most wins in the league at 4-3, with an overall mark of 10-10.
