Alec Smythe went on an 11-point serving spree to kick off Santa Barbara’s 25-6, 25-23, 25-16 boys volleyball drubbing at Buena Thursday.
“We stepped it up and were pretty consistent after 14 days off,” said coach Chad Arneson. “Our energy level was pretty good.”
Blake Williams came in and did a nice job setting, while Arneson also highlighted the play of Austin Reiter and Alex Biedul.
The Dons (9-3, 2-0 Channel League) play San Marcos on Tuesday before hosting the Karch Kiraly Tournament of Champions.
