Dos Pueblos and Buena battled into the 11th inning on Tuesday, finally wrapping up well into the evening with the Bulldogs taking home a 1-0 Channel League win.
“We had our chances,” said a tired Donn Roberts, pointing out that the Chargers had an opportunity to win it in the bottom of the tenth but had a runner thrown out at the plate from the outfield.
Hannah Harris pitched 10 innings for DP and struck out eight Bulldogs in the process. The freshman hurler was slightly outdone by her Buena counterpart, Hannah Roberg, who completed the 11-inning shut out.
Buena improves to 4-1 in league while the Chargers even out their record at 3-3.
Dos Pueblos can rebound on Wednesday with a matchup against Camarillo in the Pacific View Tournament. A rematch with Buena is slated for Friday.
