A two-week layoff didn’t faze SBCC on Tuesday as the men’s tennis team posted its second straight shutout, 9-0 over L.A. Pierce, at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in Carpinteria.
The Vaqueros (4-2, 4-2 WSC) won all six singles matches in straight sets for their first home victory in three tries. Ryan Sweeney, Elliot Markowizt, Alex Zazove, Antonio Rodrigues, Hiro Inoue and Zack Scott all collected wins.
SBCC has a critical match on Thursday at Glendale, a team it fell to in the first round 5-4.
