Glendale edged SBCC 5-4 on Thursday in a battle between Vaqueros for second place in the WSC men’s tennis race. It was the first road loss for Santa Barbara (4-3, 4-3) and the second 5-4 setback to Glendale this year. The teams share the nickname “Vaqueros”.
Antonio Rodrigues and Zack Scott posted singles wins for SBCC, which trailed 4-2 going into the doubles. Santa Barbara won the first two doubles points before Glendale prevailed in the No. 3 battle, 8-6.
