Oxnard downed SBCC 4-1 in a WSC softball game on Thursday, handing the visiting Vaqueros their seventh straight setback.
Gabby Garza pitched well, according to coach Paula Congleton, and Santa Barbara only committed one error. Still, it wasn’t enough to prevent the seventh straight loss, dropping SBCC to 1-10 overall and 1-5 in the WSC.
The Vaqueros will play two games on Friday at the Golden West Tournament in Huntington Beach. They’ll take on Orange Coast at 9 a.m. and L.A. Harbor at 1:30 p.m.
