The San Marcos track and field team trekked to Simi Valley on Saturday for the Royal Twilight Invitational, with Danielle Gemberling, Erin Morris, Christine Sienicki and Evan Bradford turning in solid showings.
Morris and Sienicki recorded third-place finishes. Morris posted a time of 17.47 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and Sienicki leaped 15 feet, one inch in the long jump.
Royals head coach Marylin Hantgin said long-distance specialist Bradford held his own in the mile, crossing in 4:32.23.
Gemberling ran her best 800-meter race of the season with a time of 2:30.58, good for fifth.
San Marcos next runs on Thursday in a home Channel League meet against Dos Pueblos.
