Bishop Diego freshman Nicole Poindexter won the 100-meters (13.4 seconds) and 200-meters (28.69) as well as the long jump (1:05-3) this past Saturday at the 5th annual Malibu Invitatonal.
The Cardinals’ 4×100 girls relay team took second with a 54.94. The team is comprised of Cynthia Trejo, Veronica Manzo, Melissa Georgi, and Poindexter. Senior Elisa Munoz took second in the girls discus with a throw of 79-8, and junior Melissa Georgi took second behind Poindexter in the 200 with a time of 29.82.
Bishop will open league on Thursday at the first Frontier league meet at Malibu.
