Matthew Grimes and Nate Mathis won two sets each, yet the Bishop Diego boys tennis team took a hit from Oak Park on Tuesday afternoon, falling 14-4.
Grimes started off losing his first set but came back to win his last two 6-2 and 6-1. Mathis bookended his wins around a loss to their No. 1 Matt Ogara
Bishop, which falls to 1-2, has a week off before facing Nordhoff next Wednesday. The Cardinals start Tri-Valley League play for the first time the following day against St. Bonaventure.
