The Santa Barbara girls and boys swimming teams split with Ventura on Tuesday at the Dons’ pool, with the boys side recording a comfortable 116-67 Channel League victory and the girls being edged 97-83.
Karl Boscacci brought the Dons two wins in the 200- and 500-freestyle. Ian Gamble took down the 100-free and finished second in the 50-free. Parker Peterson and Jeff Churchman posted wins in the 100 breast stroke and 100 backstroke, respectively. Churchman also grabbed a third in the 100-free and Hunter Ploch came in third in the 100 breast.
On the girls side, Lolo Blair was a four-event winner. She coupled her two individual wins in the 200 and 500-free with victories on the 200 medley and 200 free relay teams. Samantha King and Amanda Wilson were also double-winners on the relay teams, and each posted a second in other races. Santa Barbara’s Montana Marshall won the diving competition.
The Dons take the weekend off and host Westlake in their next meet on Tuesday.
