Ray Gerow and Shane Lebow were on the same page for the Santa Barbara boys golf team on Thursday, carding identical 72s to lead the Dons past Channel League foe Ventura 369-411.
Santa Barbara’s highest scoring round was John Baur’s 77, with Jack Perry posting a 73 and Mason Field a 75.
“The guys are getting more consistent,” noted head coach James Bedard, whose throw-away score was a very-respectable 79 from Micky Kirby.
Bedard said the rounds could have been even better, but tough pin placements, coupled with a thick fog that rolled in on the back nine brought the scores up a bit.
Santa Barbara improves to 5-1 on the season and 2-0 in league. Next up is a road match at Buena on Tuesday.
