The Santa Barbara swim team took on the defending Division III and Masters champions Oaks Christian High School Tuesday.
Although the boys lost overall, senior Hunter Ploch gave an outstanding performance, winning the 50 free and the 100 breast.
Also winning were junior Karl Boscacci, who took first in the 500 free with a CIF qualifying time of 4.48.1, and Ian Gamble who won the 100 free. The two, along with Ploch and Brandon Cowan, also won the 200 free relay. Placing second in the 100 breast and third in the 200 IM was senior Jason Masho.
The girls walked away with several first place finishes, and even took first in the 200 free and medley relays. Seniors Lindsay Parrish and Lolo Blair made up the relay team, along with sophomore Samantha King who won the 50 and 100 free. Future USC swimmer Parrish won the 200 IM and the 100 fly, and her future Trojan teammate, Blair, won the 200 and 500 free. Amanda Wilson and Camille Wissman also contributed with two second-place finishes each.
The Dons will face Harvard-Westlake on Friday at 3 p.m.
