The Dos Pueblos boys golf team remained undefeated on the season after a 376-382 Channel League-opening victory on Tuesday.
Lane Fuller tallied the Chargers’ lowest score, a two-over 72 at Buenaventura Golf Course. The Cougars’ Sam Shur was the medalist with an even-par 70.
Fuller’s round included an eagle on the par-5 18th, sinking an 8-yard putt.
DP is now 5-0 on the season, 1-0 in league. Ventura is 4-2.
Dos Pueblos coach Rob Schiff said his team was behind until the final group came in. Carson Curtis and Alex Kim both posted 74s, making up enough ground to hand the Chargers the win.
The Chargers next take on Buena at Glen Annie on Thursday.
