Christian Edstrom dispatched Ventura standout Michael Lowe 6-2 Tuesday to lift the Dos Pueblos boys tennis team to a 15-3 victory. Andy Silverstein and Eric Katz went undefeated at 3-0 in doubles play and lost only four games along the way, while Peter Shao and Robert Laskin each went 2-0 on the singles side.
“Warmer conditions reminded us to hydrate ourselves. In addition, both teams shared a mix of mental and physical fatigue along with back soreness and pulled muscles,” said coach Liz Frech. “Nonetheless, each team battled well and showed great sportsmanship.”
DP hosts Buena on Thursday.
